What Outpatient Care Looks Like at Woodside

Outpatient treatment at Woodside involves attending structured therapy sessions during the day or evening, after which you return home or to sober living accommodations at night. This approach provides you with clinical care, accountability, and a supportive community, all while you stay connected to the people and responsibilities that are important to you.

Our programs are intentionally designed to be intimate. With smaller group sizes, you will have more opportunities to engage in conversation, be heard, and receive attention from the team, ensuring that they notice when something changes.

What Sets Us Apart

Our Outpatient Programs

Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP)

PHP is our most structured level of care in Atlanta. It’s typically five days a week for most of the day, built for people who need significant daily support but don’t need 24-hour supervision.

PHP is often a fit for people who:

  • Are stepping down from inpatient or residential treatment
  • Need more support than weekly therapy can offer
  • Have a safe, stable place to live during treatment

Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)

IOP typically meets several days a week for a few hours at a time, so many people can keep working, studying, or caring for family. It offers the same evidence-based therapies as PHP, with more room for real-life practice between sessions.

IOP is often a fit for people who:

  • Have completed PHP and want to keep their momentum
  • Need structured support but have work or family commitments
  • Are noticing early warning signs and want to act before things get worse

Outpatient Program (OP)

Our outpatient level offers ongoing individual and group sessions as people build independence and settle into long-term recovery.

Other Levels of Care

When Outpatient Isn't Enough

Sometimes, the safest choice is to seek a higher level of care. If you require 24-hour support, our admissions team can arrange inpatient treatment at our sister program, Beachside Rehab, located in West Palm Beach. When you’re ready, you can transition back to outpatient care with us in Atlanta.

Please note that inpatient treatment is not currently available at our Atlanta location, but it is planned for the upcoming year.

Accepting Most Insurance Companies

PHP (Partial Hospitalization Program) involves more hours per day and more days per week compared to IOP (Intensive Outpatient Program). IOP is lighter and easier to fit into your schedule if you are balancing work or school. Our team will recommend the level of care that best matches your needs.
